Of the more than 185 ships at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the Japanese’s primary targets were the eight battleships, the majority of which were anchored on Battleship Row along the southeast shore of Ford Island. Within the first minutes of the attack, all of the battleships adjacent to Ford Island had taken bomb and/or torpedo hits.

This micro scale replica of the US Pacific Fleet includes each of the battleships faithfully depicted and in their respective locations atop an aerial photograph taken from a Japanese plane during the Pearl Harbor attack. Also included is statistical information about the fleet’s fate on December 7, 1941 as well as personal photographs of four Battleship Row survivors circa 1941 and present day.
